Day 2 of the Psychedelic Fringe Festival!

I wandered around the Fringe all day and took in 4 plays: Miss Julie (Venue 4), Coffee (Venue 4), Secrets of My Wanton's Love (Venue 3), and What Remains (Venue 11). I had auditioned for all of these plays except for Coffee. I ran into Brent Hirose outside the venue after Miss Julie and I asked him how Illuminati was going, because I knew he was in it. It turns out he also co-wrote and co-directed another play, Coffee, which was on in less than an hour. I decided to check it out and I'm glad I did, because it was very funny and entertaining. I met Brent at Asian Idol this year, and both of us are also in FemFest in October. Secrets of My Wanton's Love stars one of my FemFest castmates Lorraine James, as well as Keri-Lee Smith, with whom I went to high school. Dan Kern, who just seems to pop up wherever I go now, was one of the actors in What Remains.

I love Fringing by myself. I feel so content, and everyone around me is always in good spirits.

I ran into one of my acting teachers Lisa Martin, who is the star of Fat Tuesday. When I auditioned for Fat Tuesday the director saw Lisa's name on my resume and mentioned that Lisa had auditioned for her the day before. Right then I knew that Lisa would get the part of the main character, because she would be perfect for it. She spotted me from far away today and scurried up to me saying, "Hey baby, want some beads?" LOL I love Lisa...she's just so darn cute and blonde and adorable and bubbly.

I've seen 5 plays already...my Frequent Fringer card is going to be all punched out very soon! But I'm going crazy now because I'm leaving for Chicago on Tuesday or Wednesday. For me, it's probably the worst time in the summer to leave, but I have no choice! I pretty much have my Fringe schedule all planned out for the next 4 days!

Hey Tiff,
You saw Keri-Lee Smith? Gosh I haven't run into her in like...three years. She's back from Montreal?

Yeah actually when I auditioned for the show she's in she was helping the director with the casting...I didn't know she was going to be one of the actors. She totally freaked me out at the audition, because I walked into the room, and they all had their backs to me. I said, "Hi, I'm Tiffany!" And she turned around and said, "Well HELLO, Tiffany!" I got thrown off a bit but I think I recovered well. =P In the program for the play it said that she studied in Ontario and Quebec and has been back in Winnipeg for the past year teaching at RWB and MTYP.

Yeah Don told me that she was living in Montreal taking acting lessons. Teaching at RWB? I thought she quite dancing. She was wanting to get more into acting. I wonder what she teaches...Jazz? I remember when we were best friends she would always tell me she was going to be a star one day and that she would buy a mansion and give me my own room. Well glad to hear she alive and well!

"Well HELLO Tiffany" I could just hear her voice.

Re: FRINGE!

I saw a poster for The Polly Show and when I saw the girl I wondered if it was your cousin, since you said she was doing a children's show!

Yeah, who cares if it's a kids' show! My acting classmate is in one of the family-oriented shows and I'm going to go see it on Monday! It should be funny because he said he gets hit a lot in the play. =P
